Erin Starr Featured on Artsy

Erin Starr (American b.1970, Kansas City, MO) is a painter known for her contemporary large-scale studies of the female

In my painting series “Peaceful Reflections” I draw inspiration from the element of water and its organic depth of color.  Color and light transcend into layers of reflections, contemplating life and our desire for tranquility. Life like water can leave us drifting and floating as we look for answers for a more peaceful world. We need to preserve our natural environments to create a more peaceful world.

The paintings are oil, acrylic, and ink on canvas. I paint both the figure and landscapes that are abstract and figurative. Both series focus on the depth of color, the organic movement of our surroundings, letting our minds search for peace, love, and beauty.
